Chegg isn't the only company renting text...they are one of many. Most college bookstores are renting now and you don't have to worry about waiting for the book or shipping the book back. In addition, if you rent from your college bookstore, you are supporting your college!

I think it's just a matter of time. Adoption may not come with this first generation iPad but colleges like Abilene Christian University are certainly committed to exploring how develop mobile learning capabilities. Keep an eye on them.
